Autumn Academic Course

In autumn from 6th to 15th of October, Zaporizhyan national technical university grew into the small model of the European union, here an international student academic course took place that had been called “No of crisis – no cry!”. This event was conducted by the local group of international student’s organization BEST (Board of European Students of Technology)   in Zaporizhizhya, department of “International Economic Relationship” with support of universities’ administration and student’s union.

23 students from 13 countries of Europe (Hungary, Serbia, Belgium, Italy, France, Norway, Austria etc.) took part in this event. During 10 days under the direction of lecturer, participants attended a course of lectures in an economic and financial crisis in the world, and also discussed influence of this situation on subsequent development of worlds’ economy and prospect of its renewal during the work shops.

Students had been familiarized with the culture of our country and also with Zaporizhzhya city. Excursions were additionally conducted on Island Khortitsya, and also students visited Zaporizhka Sich, got to know a lot of interesting facts from history of Zaporizhzhya, examined the panorama of city during a row on a cutter.

At the end of the course participants checked up the knowledge gained by them during this event and passed the exams.

Autumn Academic Course

New school year will be marked by the Academic course held by LBG ZP with a dignified name of “No crisis – no cry”.

This event will last from 5th till 16th of October at the ZNTU and 23 European students will take part in it. During 10 days students will study the course of lectures aiming an advanced study of economical world situation, detailed factors consideration that entailed crisis situation in different countries of the world, familiarize with the culture of our city.

BEST Engeneering Competition!

Engineering idea in Ukraine is not a dream - it's reality!

This statement was proved by "pathfinders" of principally new all-Ukrainian project - "BEST Engineering Competition". The success of the event was achieved because of thoroughly planning, hard work and strong consolidation of all Ukrainian local BEST groups (Zaporizhian National Technical University, Lviv and Kyiv Politechnics).

Work Shop

In March, 13th to 18th 2009 local BEST group Zaporizhzhya was holding a student conference concerning informational management.

Eighteen students from all over Europe were discussing actual questions of the organisation's ork during four days. The results of their work are currently actively introduced into the organisation's work.

Motivation Weekend!

So, hunt for a newbies has begun...!!!

The presentation to attract 'fresh meet' was held. And.. Here they are, welcome! 13 people who managed to become members of our organisation.

To capture them irreversibly we held Motivation Weekend where they could dedicate their flats, cars and bank accounts to us. Are you scared? Yeah!


Actually observers just learned new and useful information about the organization, got acquainted and had a lot of fun.

Birthday

As well as any other organism our organization and it’s members, were born and now we grow and develop.

On January, 12, we had our second anniversary!

Now we firmly stand on our feet , express ourselves and enter a new year of our life with a shine in our eyes and with maximum of interest in this amazing world.

Motivation Weekend

One of the BEST secret Commandments says: each generation of Boardies demands more and more slaves.

That is why new generations of observers keep joining us from time to time.

In order to keep them warm and inspired Motivation Weekend was organised (September, 27 – 28). The BEST traditions of LBG ZiPi were followed including recreation camp, crazy games, trainings, home made drinks, local folklore (you may name it gossips) and the last but not the least – our beloved guests from LBG Lviv and LBG Kyiv!

Dear kids were partially initiated into brotherhood's sacrament, and we feel that they're loving it!

14th-25th of July 2008

Want to kniw more? - Reverse it!"

19 months of service dedicated to BEST occured not to be useless. On the July, 14th twenty young and ready for everything participants were given to us as slaves for two weeks. A plausible pretext was also found: the Zaporizhzhya Summer Course. Do you wonder what poor european students had to go through? To tell the truth, The Universal Declaration of Human Rights authors would not have aprroved of our actions...

Canoe-paddling (which is just a form of slave-holding galley, you know), conquest of forbidding rocks and the mighty Dnieper river, hot dances all the nights long, pegan songs around the fire – this is just a small part of organizers’ whims, which participants had to carry out. Having realized that they couldn’t manage by their own the students devoured new knoledge about automatization during the lectures. They hoped to construct their own secret army of robbots and rebuff us...

LBG Zaporizhzhya survived in this battle, plans to select a new board in the end of August and craves for new performances.

24th-25th of May 2008

Motivation Weekend: crossing the border line!

13 students could hardly sleep, eat and functionate.

13 students were looking for an Answer. Their Question "What is BEST?" brought them to us.

13 students were crazy enough to take the red pill.

A great piece of news for BEST community: they stayed in Wonderland! And experienced members of LBG Zaporizhzhya showed them how deep the rabbit hole went!

This tunnel took them to a picturesque recreation camp, where they were taught the laws and principles on which BEST Universe is built, trained in order to become its leaders someday and motivated in BEST Mongolian way. The newcomers enjoyed the power flowing from now through their veins, so the expanded LBG is ready to accept the next battle, which is the Summer Course!

24th-30ty of March 2008

Nothing is done just for the sake of doing in BEST… Our unconcerned life and easy-going behavior has been observed by the Board of BEST and produced a shocking impression on them (yes, there exists such a committee, but nobody speaks about it) and they decided to talk to us. And the boss said if nothing is going to be done then smb is going to be dead. He didn't go into details to explain exactly who is going to die, but we guessed!

To save the lives of the North-African tribe we got down to work. Long months of preparations, work and effort of the whole LBG, sweat and blood, sleepless nights, missed classes…

And here it is! Pre-GA Workshop, which has been held overnight from 23.03 till 30.03! This event is very important for BEST as we were told later by the Boss. During the event different proposals about optimization are being discussed, different theories and corrections are suggested, which can be either accepted or declined during the GA. We did a great job! It was a fair 5 (in Bologna Module System it is not that much as we were told later by the Boss)

18th-21st of October 2007

A wise man once said: "There's time to cast stones, and time to gather them" (and another thought of the slogan "I'm lovin' it!" for McDonald's). And both of them were damn right (but one was closer to the point!)

And that time has come. Long months of preparations, efforts of the entire LBG, its sweat and blood, sleepless nights, skipped classes... All the stress came to quit a logical end...

Regional Meeting’07 in Zaporizhzhya! (Only the chosen ones can read the name of our city without making a mistake, and only a few can write it)

60 students from Romania, Poland, Moldavia and Ukraine came to Zaporizhzhya to participate in one of the basic projects in BEST – a Regional Meeting!

For 3 days we did smth and enjoyed it, we felt our necessity and importance to society, discussed important issues (but then we were forced back to our warels). All in this meeting was very important to our LBG.
